Amazon PPC strategy

Turn account data into an ordered plan.

Know which problem to solve first, which opportunity to test and what evidence should guide the next investment. MAP builds Amazon PPC strategy around the account you have and the business you want it to support.

Scope shaped around your accountClear prioritiesDefined ownershipEvidence-led decisions

Strategy starts by asking better questions

Where is the account dependent on branded demand? Which products can support acquisition costs? Are low sales caused by limited traffic, poor conversion or insufficient stock? How much can the business learn before a test becomes too expensive?

The answers change the plan.

What the strategy covers

Commercial objectives

Agree whether the immediate priority is efficiency, acquisition, launch learning, catalog development or a combination with explicit trade-offs.

Product priorities

Assess the role of each product using the cost, sales, conversion and stock information available. Avoid applying the same target to products with different economics.

Campaign roles

Give discovery, proven demand and brand-focused activity a clear purpose. Build enough separation to understand spend and outcomes without unnecessary account complexity.

Search and visibility

Use available search-term and shopper-demand evidence to identify where relevance and conversion need work. Organic visibility is observed alongside advertising; a paid result is not proof of an organic ranking effect.

A practical test plan

Define a hypothesis, spending boundary, review criteria and the conditions for continuing, changing or stopping each priority test.

The report should lead to a decision.

Where your account is eligible and the reports are available in your marketplace, we connect the signal to a specific question. Different reports have different definitions; we do not treat their numbers as interchangeable.

Brand Analytics and Search Query Performance: where to investigate

Review query volume and your brand’s share of search activity to identify relevant queries worth testing. The opportunity still needs to make sense for the product and its economics.

Clicks without enough purchases: what to inspect

For queries attracting clicks but limited purchases, examine the offer and product detail page before recommending more traffic. That pattern is a review trigger, not proof of the cause.

Search Term Impression Share: whether to test more visibility

Use Sponsored Products impression share and impression rank to understand advertising visibility for a search term. Review those signals alongside conversion and cost data before proposing a controlled bid, targeting or budget test. Impression rank is not organic rank, and low share alone is not a reason to spend more.

A strategy you can use

The output should make the priorities, dependencies and measurement approach clear. We distinguish immediate actions from later opportunities and explain which recommendations require more evidence.

Strategy and execution are scoped separately

A strategy engagement can support your internal team, an existing operator or a broader MAP management scope. Ongoing campaign execution, creative production and Seller Central work are included only when agreed.

A few useful answers

Questions about strategy

Will the same plan work in every marketplace?

No. Demand, language, competition, product pricing, available ad features and operational constraints vary. Marketplace plans need their own evidence.

Can you plan for organic growth?

We can consider search relevance, conversion and organic sales trends in the broader account plan. We do not guarantee rankings or attribute every organic change to PPC.

What if our data is incomplete?

We identify what can be concluded now and what needs validation. A stated assumption is more useful than a confident recommendation built on missing information.
